When I arrived at Keystone, I felt like a fragile, frightened little girl. I didn't know who I was. I didn't know how to stay clean and sober, and I surely didn't know how I would become a productive member of society.
As I unpacked and settled in a bit, I remember some of the girls giving me some encouraging words, and reassurance that I was safe, and everything would be okay. When I woke up the next morning, I looked around, realized I had actually slept for several hours, and I thanked God for placing me at Keystone. I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be, and I felt safe for the first time in many years.
More than fourteen months have passed since that chilly November morning. Today, I am fifteen months clean and sober. I spent over fourteen months living at Keystone Structured Living house for women. It was here that I built a solid foundation based upon the spiritual principles of Alcoholics Anonymous, while having the love and support of women who were just like me.
Since becoming clean, sober and free, my family relationships which were nearly nonexistent are thriving, and better than they were, even before I destroyed my life, and their hearts. I also have made friendships which will last a lifetime.
Working with a fantastic sponsor, working the 12 steps wholeheartedly, making amends, and taking suggestions were the keys to my success. The leaders of Keystone helped me to feel confident in myself, and my recovery, and held me up during the difficult, uncertain times.
I will be forever grateful for everyone associated with Keystone. They are a special group of people. I am truly blessed beyond measure.

I am a former client and have continued my journey to Houston Texas. I am forever grateful for the staff at keystone for giving me the foundation to stand on my own 2 feet. Girls you have no idea how good you have it. After experiencing some of the sober houses in Houston nothing compares to Keystone. If you want to stay sober and live life differently then this is where you begin. Good luck and God bless!
